Bengaluru: CCL's leading cricketer, Kannada actor Dhruv Sharma dies

Bengaluru, Aug 1: Actor, Dhruv Sharma, who was one of the leading players of Celebrity Cricket League's (CCL) Karnataka Bulldozers team led by actor, Sudeep, passed away on Tuesday August 1.

Dhruv was more popular for his cricketing skills than acting. Even Salman Khan had profusely appreciated his playing skills. His playing ability had enabled Karnataka team to win the championship. He played for all the six seasons of the CCL, and was the vice captain of the Karnataka Bulldozers.

He leaves behind parents, wife and two daughters.


Although it is being said that Sharma chose to kill himself because of upheavals in business dealings, confirmation and further details are awaited.

Dhruv had collapsed in his house on Saturday and was rushed to a hospital immediately.

Early on Tuesday morning, he suffered a cardiac arrest and multiple organ failure. He was declared dead in the early hours of Tuesday. Post mortem is being carried out.

    It is sad to know that Dhruv Sharma, CCL's leading cricketer, and Kanada actor is no more. It is a shocking news and may his soul rest in eternal peace. My deepest sympathies to his parents, wife and two daughters. May God give them comfort and strength to overcome the loss of their loved ones.

    Sorry, I do not understand. If you are an NRI, why would you lose money due to demonitization (other than few spare Rs. 500 / 1000 notes left behind in India or carried with you)?
    Even before November 2016 there is no reason for you to carry huge physical cash instead of depositing them in the bank; unless of course they are part of the black economy.
