Mangaluru, Jul 26: The police on Wednesday July 26 arrested three persons in connection to the murder of rowdy-sheeter Pawan Raj, who was stabbed to death at Vamanjoor here on July 24.
The arrested are Bipin, Sharan and Harish, all from Vamanjoor.
Pawan (23), son of rowdy-sheeter Vamanjoor Rohi, was murdered late night on July 24. His body was found in an old house in Vamanjoor, where around 10 persons including Pawan used to gather and reportedly consume ganja on a regular basis.
The assailants had left behind the weapons used for crime at the spot. Pawan's body bore injury marks in the neck and the head. Two sickles, cellphone, footwear, and blood stains on the wall were found at the murder spot.

The motive behind the murder is yet to be revealed.
As reported earlier, it is suspected that personal enmity or ganja trafficking might have led to Pawan's murder. Further interrogation of the arrested persons is expected to shed light on the entire matter.
Pawan Raj faced four cases in different police stations in the city relating to murder attempt, robbery etc. Pawan was the main accused in the case of murder attempt on Santosh Kottary near Vamanjoor check post in 2014 when the latter had gone out to bring food. Kottary had survived the attack made with a sharp, crooked knife used during cock fights. Pawan, who was arrested relating to robbery case near Gurpur Parari, had come out on bail two months back. He mostly remained at home thereafter, it is learnt. Pawan had studied till SSLC and his twin brothers are in college now.
