Bengaluru, Jul 20: "BJP leaders have been actively indulging in vote bank politics in coastal Karnataka. Therefore, sometimes they find it necessary to bring the dead alive and kill those who are alive," commented food and civil supplies minister, U T Khader, in an apparent dig at MP Shobha Karandlaje, who allegedly had mentioned the name of a person who is alive in the list of victims of communal attacks in Karnataka which she had submitted to the union home minister recently.
He said that the BJP so far had lost its credibility and respect in the state. "The state BJP leaders have now made the party to lose its standing at the national level too with their foolish act," he commented. He reasoned that BJP leaders are not finding any issues to attack the state government, pointing out that the government has waived farm loans, which was one of the demands of the BJP. He said that because of the fact that the Congress government has implemented various programmes for the welfare of the people, BJP leaders are not getting any points to floor the government.
Khader felt that because of these things, BJP is aiming at playing vote bank politics to mislead the people. "The people of Karnataka are not idiots to blindly believe what the BJP leaders say. They are sure to teach the BJP leaders a lesson in the next elelction," he felt.
