Mangalore, Apr 16: As a humanitarian gesture two Brits Emma and David Williams will be undertaking a swimming challenge to raise funds for the HIV positive children's centre namely 'Samvedanaa Children's Home' in the city here on Sunday April 20.

The duo will each be swimming five kilometres in a swimming pool in United Kingdom. The event will be sponsored per kilometer by family and friends.

The major sponsor will be Williams Cheesman Software, a company owned by the swimmers themselves. They are hoping to raise a sum of around Rs 20,000 for the Samvedanaa home, provided they complete the distance.

Earlier in the year on February 4, the couple with their family had visited the Samvedanaa Centre interacting with the HIV+ve children along with captain Pais. They had even distributed toys and clothes to the children, which was very much appreciated by all at the Centre.

Moreover, on that day the Britons had even contributed a sum of Rs 700 which was utilized by the staff at the Centre to take the ailing children to visit a circus in the evening, for their entertainment.
