Mangalore: Kinnigoli Catholic Sabha Felicitates Achievers

Mangalore, Apr 14:
A twin ceremony of oath-taking ceremony of new office-bearers of Catholic Sabha and felicitation to Valerian Sequeira and Ln Alwyn Patrao, the Kinnigoli parishioners who are elected as Director of MCC Bank and district vice-governor of Lions Club respectively, was held in the Kinnigoli church hall on Sunday April 13. Fr Alfred Pinto, parish priest and spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Kinnigoli unit and Fr Anil D'Silva, assistant parish priest of Kinnigoli were the chief guest on the occasion.
 
Fr Alfred Pinto administered oath to the new office-bearers of Catholic Sabha for the year 2008-09. Felicitation note of Ln Alwyn Patrao was read by Alban D’Souza while Charles Rodrigues read the felicitation note of Valerian Sequeira. Both of them were felicitated by draping with shawl, garland, offering fruits and memento.

Replying to the honour Ln Alwyn Patrao and Valerian Sequeira thanked Catholic Sabha and Caholic community for their support and help in achieving this success.
 
In his presidential speech, Fr Alfred Pinto congratulated the achievers and said Catholic Sabha was started for the welfare of the Catholic community, to give them proper guidance and knowledge and to spread political awareness and today it is doing this work successfully. He advised the members of the Catholic Sabha to unite and work to build up a ideal and strong community.

Past presidents who served for the last 11 years were also honoured on this occasion.
 
Francis Serrao, new president of Catholic Sabha welcomed the guests. Eric Pais, new secretary proposed vote of thanks. Hilda D'Costa compered the programme.
