Mangaluru, Jun 13: V G Pal, convenor of Rangaspandana, Mangaluru announced the opening of 'Mungaru Rangasiri', a three-day programme series on June 18, 22 and 24 in Sanatana Natyalaya Sabhangana, Sharada Vidyalaya Sabhangana and Town Hall respectively.
Addressing the media persons on Tuesday, June 13, he said, "This year, celebrating the onset of monsoon, we have decided to name the 3-day programme as 'Mungaru Rangasiri'. The programme includes subthemes 'Nrutya Sinchana', 'Prakrati-Sanskrati' and 'Mast Magic'.
This 3-day cultural extravaganza will start on June 18, at 6 pm in Sanatana Natyalaya Sabhangana, Ballalbagh, with performances by their students. The programme will be inaugurated by D M Ravikumar, assistant director of Kannada and cultural department. It will host Vidushi Sharadamani Shekhar, and producer of Nishabdh 2, Taranath Shetty Bolar, as guests for the day. The second day, June 22, Sharda Vidyalaya students will perform to the theme 'Prakrati-Sanskrati' also creating awareness about the countrywide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, starting at 11.30 am. Professor M B Puranik, president of Sharda Group of Educational Institutions would
inaugrate the day whereas Devdas Kapikad, drama director and film producer along with Vijayalaxmi B Shetty, president of Mangaluru district Kannada Sahitya Parishat, would grace the occasion as guests of honour."
"The third day, June 24, will present 'Masst Magic' by the internationally acclaimed, India's Got Talent finalist Kudroli Ganesh, which will commence at 6 pm. The programme will be inaugurated by Dr P Sanjeeva Dandekeri, senior drama artist, film director. Professor Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli, Yakshagana critic, intellectual and Leelakshi B Karkera, director of 'Namma Kudla' channel will be chief guests."
"In India, magic doesn't have a huge platform and unlike other art forms, has to be up to date with the constantly increasing international standards, adhering to the taste of today's generation.
This 'Masst Magic' would be a one of a kind and never-seen-before magic show, apt for a family audience to enjoy together." said Kudroli Ganesh.
The entry is completely free of charge and is open to every art lover.
