Moodbidri, May 18: Alvas Kannada medium high school, regarded as the number one school by the state department of education, has recorded cent per cent results for the eighth time in succession. Among 132 students who appeared for SSLC examination, Laxmi Ishwara Nagathane among them has secured 621 marks, which is an excellent achievement, said Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva's Education Foundation.
Thirty-five students among those who appeared for the examination have secured more than 600 marks each, which is also another milestone for the schhol. As many as 96 students have passed with distinction securing more than 85% marks, 32 students have secured first class and four students have passed in second class. Fourteen students have received 100 marks in Kannada, 36 students in Hindi, five in Sanskrit, four in Mathematics, four in Science and nine students in Social Science. With this, 72 students have secured 100 marks each which is also another record.
Alvas English medium high school secures 99.15% results
As many as 472 students wrote SSLC examination in English medium and secured 99.15% results. Deeksha M N has secured 623 marks, Akash M Nairi 623, Vishma Heggade 622 and Anwesha Jain has secured 621 marks. Twenty-eight students have secured more than 600 marks out of a maximum of 625 marks.
Eight-five per cent have passed with distinction, 261 students in first class and 27 students have passed in second class. Eleven students have secured 100% marks in Kannada, seven in English, 16 in Hindi, one in Sanskrit, nine in Science and nine in Social Science. Therefore, 57 students have secured 100% marks in various subjects.
Dr M Mohan Alva has congratulated all the students who have secured high marks. He said that their further education will be free under Alvas adoption programme.
As many as 57 students from sports section have appeared for the examination. Thirty-three students with achievements in national level events and four students in state level have recorded excellent results. Shilpa and Prajwal, students from SC and ST category have secured 606 and 602 marks respectively.
