Kollam May 8: Varna Sampath, who has her roots in Dakshina Kannada, emerged as runner-up at 'Miss Queen of India 2017' and also won the subtitles 'Miss Talented' and 'Miss Beautiful Hair'. The event was held on April 26 at Raviz, Kollam.
Varna Sampath is currently pursuing her PhD in Life Sciences at Bangalore University under the guideship of Dr M Shivashankar, is currently working as a Biology lecturer at Cambridge PU College, Bengaluru. 26-year-old Varna also bagged the 'Miss Beautiful Skin' and 'Miss Talented' titles at the event held on January 27.
Varna hails from a multicultural family, who resides in the metropolitan city of Bengaluru. Her father, Sampath Kumar, is a consultant with a private firm and has his roots in Mulki, Mangaluru. He is also a retired bank official with Vijaya Bank. Varna's mother, Kunjumol Sampath is the managing director of Cherish Foundation, a home for the aged and hails from Kottayam, Kerala. Varna is joined by her older brother, Vivek Sampath who is pursuing his MBA at present.
To add to her credits she had already been crowned the runner up of 'Miss South India 2017' and was also adjudged 'Miss Talent' and 'Miss Beautiful' at the Camelot Convention Center at Allapuzha. She was the winner of 'Miss Bengaluru 2016' held at the Leela Palace (Bengaluru). Winner of 'Miss Mangalore 2014' held at Moodbidri (Mangaluru), winner 'Miss Malayalee Worldwide Bangalore 2013-2014' are some of her major achievements amongst many others.
She was also a child actor and theatre performer along with being a professional Bharatnatyam dancer and is also the director of 'Varna Nrityashaala' a Bharatnatyam dance school, training over 150 students.
She is truly breaking all stereotypes with her endless list of achievements and deserves the tag of being named 'Beauty with brains'.
