Bengaluru: Youth Congress files complaint against BJP MP Pratap Simha

Bengaluru Mar 2: Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) members filed a police complaint against BJP MP Pratap Simha on Wednesday, March 1 for his remarks on Gurmehar Kaur, a student from Delhi University and daughter if Kargil war martyr.

Pratap Simha, representing Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency, had likened Gurmehar Kaur to underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.

Umesh Boregowda, KPYCC secretary, in his complaint lodged at High Grounds police station here, said that the statements made by Pratap Simha are insensitive and insult to martyrs who gave their lives for the nation.

High Grounds police sent the complaint to the legal cell of the police department for an opinion.

“Further action will be taken after we receive the opinion from the legal department” said a police officer.

Pratap Simha’s remarks had attracted widespread criticism.

    When junior home minister in the center don't know the whereabouts, Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse’s mobile number featured in the call logs of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s wife.

    This 'Kathale Jagathu' MP while criticising daughter of martyr forgot that his own party state minister in contact with underworld.

    Now wise citizens should decide who is 'anti national'?

    Sanghis taking a screen shot of a vedio which was launched one year back for peace and against war ..just because the girl held a placard saying she is not afraid of ABVP.. wah shame on this guy pratap paper simha who takes sympathy from public by claiming he married a disabled woman and mocking a martyrs daughter by comparing her to dawood .Shame on this MP who got elected in mysore the kodava region who are famous in Army .one more request Mr paper simha learn english before you expose yourself to national media

    It is extremely sad to see NDTV and India Today with their Congress friends run such malicious media campaigns during elections. The pubic expect every media house to be neutral and merely report events like BBC. Now days people need to login to youtube to see the entire episode and truth. Even Modis "Id pe bijili hogi toh Diwali pe bhi honi chahiye" was so maliciously edited to give a communal colour and now Pratap Sinhas statement is cut short and maliciously headlined. The MP merely said that if Pak hadnt killed her father and war had as stated by her, how can he be a martyr and how can she claim pension and benefits of her father. The girl in question is misguided at a tender age and fighting an inner battle due to loss of a dear one and is being used by Congress and its media agents for political needs which is disgraceful. People are wondering why NDTV and Rajdeep Sardesai are doing this again and again.

    This complaint will surely reach Dustbin by tomorrow. Even though I don't know IPC, am sure they would not have any case for some mere metaphor or Analogy which these illiterate Dongis don't get it.

    All this noise until UP elections, Mark my words, it will die down soon after. Jobless frustrated dongis beating a dead horse out of desperation.
