Kundapur, Feb 25: “Congress seems to have already admitted that it paid bribe to its high command. BJP does not make payment to Congress high command. The conspiracy is obvious as theft has been admitted. Therefore the Chief Minister should resign immediately and dissolve the government. Elections should be held in the state,” said leader of Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa.
He was speaking to the reporters after visiting Kollur Mookambika temple and offering Chandika Yaga on Saturday, February 25.
“People in the state elect good government. I have not seen a government as bad as this in the history of the state. Congress leaders themselves make allegations against Congressmen. Leaders such as Janardhana Poojary has stated many times that this government should go. Leaders like S M Krishna and Srinivasa Prasad have left the party. Kumar Bangarappa and Jayaprakash Hegde are prepared to come to BJP. Many people from Congress and Janatha Dal are coming to BJP. Now everybody knows that this government has not worked in favour of people. BJP is prepared for elections,” he said.
“People of the state are expecting BJP to come to power. Elections will come soon in the state and BJP will come to power. Drought unseen in the past has hit the state. There is scarcity of drinking water. I have prayed to Mookambike that it may start raining soon and that there may be enough water,” he added.
Speaking about Rayanna Brigade he said that the members of the brigade will be working for the development of backward class communities. “10,000 talented students from junior colleges will be selected and Rs 2,500 scholarships will be paid to them. Rs 2.5 crores has been set aside for it,” he informed.
BJP working committee member B M Sukumar Shetty, BJP district farmer's morcha vice-president Pravin Kumar Shetty, Zilla panchayat member Shankera Poojary, Zilla Yuva Morcha secretary Pratap Shetty Molahalli, Deepak Kumar Shetty, Suresh Petri, Vijayalaxmi Ishwarappa and Kanthesha were present.
4000 women to visit Kollur on April 22
“There are 4,000 women members in Marikamba Micro Finance, Shivamogga. Rs 12 crore has been lent for self-employment there. As per their wish they will go on a pilgrimage with the profits they have made. An excursion of the pilgrim centers is scheduled from April 22 to 23. Four thousand women will visit Kollur on April 22”, said Eshwarappa.
CM not taking action against anti-nationals
Eshwarappa who later visited Sri Krishna Math in Udupi spoke to mediapersons regarding Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s participation in a communal harmony rally in Manguluru and said, “Statements from leaders alike Janardhana Poojary and Jaffer Sharif show their disappointment. Murders have become common in the state. Kuttappa murder in Madikeri, Poojary murder, Raju in Mysuru and Rudresh in Bengaluru are only a few to name”.
“State government has taken these issues very lightly. It clearly shows that Siddaramaiah government is working in favour of the minority community. The CM is not taking any action against anti-nationals,” he added.
