Bengaluru, Feb 22: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, has opined that former Karnataka chief minister, B S Yeddyurappa, has become mentally ill. He has suggested to Yeddyurappa to undergo mental treatment.
On the other hand, BJP spokesperson, Arvind Limbavali, reacting strongly to the above comment, said that the KPCC working president has lost his mind. He challenged Congress leaders to agree for an open debate over the notes made in the diary belonging to Congress MLC Govindaraju.
"When Yeddyurappa alleged that Siddaramaiah had pooled and donated large amount of money to Congress high command, I had, matter of factly, commented that the BJP state president would have become mentally ill. But the fact that Yeddyurappa vowed to send Siddaramaiah to jail within 24 hours after the former rises to power in the state, has nailed home the truth that he has actually gone mad," he stated.

He asked Yeddyurappa to make public if he has any records to back what he has been saying, rather than waiting till he becomes the chief minister. He felt that it would be easier for BJP to order Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the charges now as it is in power at the centre.
Dinesh noted that complaints have already been filed with Anti Corruption Bureau and Lokayukta about the above allegations levelled against the CM, and he cannot predict its outcome now. He added that his party will continue to fight Yeddyurappa politically and legally. He stated that he has come to know that the information about noting in Govindaraju's diary had been given to Yeddyurappa by the public relations officer of income tax department. He said complaint will soon be filed against the said officer.
The KPCC working president stated that a protest rally under the title, 'Satyameva Jayate' is being held at Freedom Park here by his party on Thursday February 23 against BJP's allegation about Rs 1,000 kickback made against Siddaramaiah. He said that a befitting reply will be given to BJP at this protest programme.
