Bengaluru, Feb 19: Senior BJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa and K S Eshwarappa, whose war of words had threatened to divide the BJP so much so that the party high command had to step in, on Saturday, February 18 put up a show of unity by sharing the dais and also a giant garland.
Both of them also spoke about bringing BJP back to power in Karnataka at the BJP’s OBC Morcha meeting held here.
Eshwarappa said that the party has the aim of coming back to power with majority and making Yeddyurappa the chief minister again.
"Corruption cases may not even allow the Siddaramaiah government to survive for the next one year," Eshwarappa said during the meeting.
Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa shared a huge garland at the event and sat next to each other. They also exchanged pleasantries which could not be witnessed in the recent past.
"The OBC Morcha got a boost after Eshwarappa took charge of it," said Yeddyurappa.
Eshwarappa was made in-charge of the Morcha recently.
Yeddyurappa also revealed that Eshwarappa has planned two mega conventions of the Morcha - one in Bidar on February 22 and another in Yadagiri on February 23.
Neither of them mentioned about their past differences.
Nevertheless, shutterbugs captured the duo engaged in what seemed to be an intense discussion.
