Muscat, Jan 13 (mb): Muscat will witness a unique, perhaps, first of its kind Oman-India fashion show on January 26 at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort under the patronage of Indian Ambassador Anil Wadhwa.

The fashion extravaganza will coincide with the Republic Day of India. Oman's leading event management company Light & Shadow Enterprises is organising this unique event where Omani and Indian models will participate.

"Despite challenges last year we organised more than 30 mega events in Oman. We will continue our sincere efforts to considerably contribute to the growing entertainment industry in the Sultanate of Oman. Fashion shows are not new in Oman. Highlights of this year's fashion show include rich traditions of Oman and India," Light & Shadow Enterprises MD Rajeev Chowdhary said.

We, Rajeev said, are living in a world of cultural diversity. Integration of culture is not a new phenomenon, and fashion shows of this kind will not only strengthen cultural relationships among nations but also play a key role in promoting tourism.

India's renowned fashion designer Sonia Singh will showcase her fantastic designs in Muscat. Sonia is the winner of several nationaland international awards, and for the first time Sonia will be in Muscat. Sonia's designs are branded under the name Tulips.

Vinay Gupta will choreograph the show. Fourteen Indian and 10 Omani models will participate in the event. Highlight of the event is the presence of world-renowned pianist Bryan Silas. Muscateers will enjoy his nostalgic tunes on piano along with a mesmerising fashion show.
