Kundapur, Oct 23: The taluk panchayat regular meeting of Kundapur taluk, on Saturday, October 22, was marked by the dissatisfaction of the members, due to evasive answers by officials and non-implementation of the decisions taken during previous meetings.
“No decisions are made in the present meeting even after intensive discussions. The topics get postponed from one meeting to the other. It has become a norm. The meetings make sense when the officials work for development. The implementation report was given in the meeting. How can discussions be held then?” asked Raju Devadiga. Jyothi Putran who joined in the debate said, the agenda was given a day prior to the meeting. “It should have been given at least a week in advance”, he said.
Jagadish Devadiga urged that there should be bus stops at Kergalu and Nagori. “There should be provision for at least five buses”, he said.
To Surendra Kharvi's question of what stage the breakwater project was on, the answer by the officials failed to convince him.
MLA Srinivasa Shetty was present. President Jayashree Mogaveera presided over the meeting. Vice president Pravin Kumar Shetty Kadke, president of social justice committee Mahendra Poojary, and executive officer Chennappa Moily were present at the meeting.
