Moodbidri, Oct 13:  A student of a private college here, who had suddenly gone missing from the college hostel recently, was found by the local police from Mysuru.

Ritik (17), son of Bhaskar from Marathhalli, Bengaluru, a second PU student, was reported missing. He was found from the house of his maternal uncle at Mysuru by the police.

Ritik, who had opted for commerce subjects, was staying in college hostel at Puthige here. A few days back, he had called up his father and requested him to remit money as he was facing a shortage of money. His father, who criticised him for having scored less than satisfactory marks in the examinations, refused to accede to his request. Reportedly, the student grew angry and went to Mumbai from his hostel room. After that, the warden of his hostel filed a missing complaint at the local police station.

Before leaving the hostel, Ritik had taken his friend's ATM card with him. Using this card, he had withdrawn money from Mumbai. From there, he had returned to Mysuru to the home of his maternal uncle.  The policemen who got to know about his visits went to Mysuru and brought him here on Monday. After obtaining permission from the court, he was handed over to his parents.
