New Delhi, Oct 12 (IANS): IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd (IL&FSENGG) has won a Rs 162.58-crore order from state-run gas utility GAIL for constructing a pipeline in Bihar, the company said on Wednesday.
"IL&FS Engineering Services has received the Fax of Acceptance (FOA) from the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) for laying and construction of pipeline," the company said in a stock exchange filing.
Besides, the FOA from GAIL is also for laying and construction of associated facilities of section II pipeline from Chainage 159.70 Km to Receiving Terminal Cum Future IP Station-4 at Dobhi (Chainage 345.08 Km) for Phulpur-Haldia Pipeline Project (Phase 1B) in Bihar, it said in the statement.
"The total length of the pipeline is 185.38 km and the total value of the contract is Rs 162.58 crore. The project is to be mechanically completed in 15 months from the date of FOA and with additional 3 months for drying, commissioning and GAS-IN," it added.
The company had recently bagged a similar pipeline laying contract from GAIL worth Rs 173.13 crore for a section of the Kochi-Koottanad-Bangalore-Mangalore Pipeline Project Phase-II in Kerala, the statement said.
The company is also constructing a pipeline from Land Fall Point (LFP), Mangalore Port, to the Mangalore/Padur caverns for storage of crude oil for state-run Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves, it added.
