Mangaluru Oct 4: Sandra Roshni Monteiro, daughter of Sylvia and Joseph Monteiro, has received a gold medal for securing the first rank in M.Sc. (Specialisation in Health Psychology) at the Centre for Health Psychology, Hyderabad Central University.

The post-graduation course is a 2 year professional programme, specialising in Health Psychology. Health psychology, in simple words,  is the study of psychological and behavioural processes in health, illness, and healthcare.

This is her endeavour to minimize the huge supply gap for the increasing need of proper mental health care by psychologists and psychiatrists, and other trained professionals.

Sandra has done her graduation with first class division in Psychology Honours from Loreto College, Kolkata. She was awarded with Certificate of Merit by the institution for academic achievement during the tenure. Presently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. from Hyderabad Central University.
