Beltangady, Oct 1: Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College at Ujire in the taluk has added another feather to its illustrious cap after having been ranked seventh in the survey relating to best colleges in the state conducted by Career360 magazine.
The said magazine had undertaken an ambitious survey to rank colleges in the country on the basis of excellence in imparting arts, commerce, and science courses. For preparing the ranking list, it depended on the grades allotted by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, variety of courses available in the college, research activities, educational achievements, sports, literary and cultural activities etc, editor of the magazine said in its issue.
The magazine conducted the survey in all the states and chose best state-wise colleges. For this purpose, in the final round, it had chosen 80 colleges in Karnataka before allotting grades to them.
The said magazine, edited by B Mahesh Sharma, and published from New Delhi since the last eight years, supports education, studies, and career opportunities. To enable students interested in undertaking higher education, it published detailed information on different colleges in the issue for July 2016.
Principal of the college, Dr Mohan Narayan, said in a release, that his college happens to in the first place as far as colleges listed out in the magazine from Dakshina Kannada are concerned.
