Udupi: SVP Kolagiri parish celebrates golden jubilee

Udupi, Sep 28: St Vincent Paul Society (SVP) Kolalgiri unit celebrated the golden jubilee of their parish on Tuesday September 27 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Fr Fredrick Mascarenhas, spiritual director of SVP, Udupi presided over the holy Eucharist mass while Fr Roshan Menezes, Episcopal Vicar for Religious and Fr Wilfred Frank (OCD) were the concelebrants on the occasion.

After the holy Eucharist mass, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi presided over the formal programme. Fr Roshan Menezes, Fr David Crasta, parish priest, St Antony Orthodox Syrian Church, Ammunje, Gracian Botelho, president, SSVP, Udupi, Richard D’Souza, president, SSVP, Kallianpur denary, Fr Frank, Naveen Rodrigues, vice-president, parish pastoral Council, Queeni Mary, secretary, Lancy Mascarenhas, president, SVP of the unit, Nancy Dsouza, SVP secretary were present on the dais.

Prior to the stage function, new presbytery was blessed and inaugurated by the Bishop of Udupi. Bishop also blessed and inaugurated the new Velankani Grotto and new church benches. 

Pramod Madhwaraj, minister for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and sports government of Karnataka was present on the occasion.

Roshan D'souza compered the program.
