Illegal cattle transportation - three held, vehicle, five cattle confiscated

Puttur, Sep 22: Police personnel from Uppinangady staion, on Tuesday September 20, found out that cattle were being transported illegally. They intercepted a pick-up vehicle, found the animals being carried in it, and arrested three persons. The animals confiscated were five buffalo calves.

The arrested men were Ismail, Ummer Farooq, and Muhammed Mustafa, all from Deralakatte. As per information, they were carrying five buffalo calves from Hassan to Deralakatte.

Uppinangady police, acting on reliable information, stopped the pick-up vehicle at around 6 pm on Tuesday and took the three occupants and five cattle into custody.

    How come baffallo transportation is illegal in Karnataka.
