Mangaluru, Sep 21: ‘Exam Friend’ – Fly to the zenith of success was released by Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru at a grand ceremony held on September 20, by Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC, Karnataka Legislative Council.
The book will be distributed to the students free of cost. Encouraged by the tremendous response received from the state board students, CBSE and keeping in mind its usefulness, Mahesh PU College, as its social responsibility towards the student community, decided to bring out ‘Exam friend’ for students from state and CBSE Board.
‘Exam Friend’ is a handy tool to improve the performance of the CBSE and state board students of Karnataka in the 2016-17 board exams. The content is custom-made covering a wide range of topics in all subjects. A team of subject experts across the state have contributed their best in the form of practice question papers.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief guest Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLC spoke of the importance of doing well in academics as well as the significance of self realization, leading to a self-development and contribution thereafter to the nation. Praising Exam Friend he said that students should take advantage of the extra efforts, schools, colleges and parent put in for the children’s betterment.
In the keynote address, Sujeet Kumar, Trustee, M T Educare Charitable Trust, asked the students to remain focused to achieve their goals and also announced the 24X7 helpline which will be in place soon to help students to clear their doubts on any topic; in any subject. Students can avail this facility on phone lines for any exam related clarification.
Also present on the dais were the Principal, Dr Ajith D’Souza, the Administrator, Anil Mascarenhas and academic head, Hariparasad.
Juliana D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Sumathi Pai, the chief coordinator of ‘Exam friend’ brief the gathering about its resource, compilation and its success. Jyothi Shetty compered the programme while Ashwin Veigas proposed the vote of thanks.
