Kundapur, Sep 17: Engineer's Day was celebrated at Moodlakatte Institute of Technology on September 15. Manjunath Nairy retired executive engineer PWD was chief guest at the function.
In his speech Manjunath Nairy cited Sir M Visvesvaraya’s noble values and called upon the students to be honest and to fight for a corruption free India. Principal Mohandas Bhat S, in his speech said that if engineers are at least 10% as effective as Sir M Visvesvaraya, then they have achieved something in their life.
The civil engineering department organized Engineer’s Day and conducted Prastuti – paper presentation competition on 'Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology'. Prizes were distributed to the winners. 'Advika' newsletter capturing the activities of the civil department was released on the occasion.
The HOD’s of the various departments, faculty and students were present. Amrutha Prabhu and Rolita of V sem civil compered the programme, while Archana Bhat of 7th sem civil depratment welcomed the gathering and Kiran Galave delivered the vote of thanks.
A technical session on virtual lab was conducted at Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapur.
