Alvas Institute holds programme on entrepreneurship, innovation

Mangaluru, Sep 16: The department of business administration of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology Mijar, organized a guest talk on entrepreneurship and innovation on Wednesday September 14. The talk was delivered by Nivedan Nempe, inventor of areca tea (proprietor of Mystic Aromatics) www.arecatea.com.


He addressed the management graduates of the institute and stressed on the need to become entrepreneurs for the rural development of the country. He gave an insight into how entrepreneur skill sets could be inculcated in young minds. He gave an account of the challenges which he faced while setting up his business. He said that the real business could be generated in rural India ie in villages. Hard work, dedication and lots of common sense are the prerequisites of a successful entrepreneur. He also stressed the importance of out of box thinking to succeed as a entrepreneur. 

Managing trustee Mr Vivek Alava, Dean of the Business Administration Prof. P. Ramakrishna Chadaga and the coordinator of the program Prof. Gurudatt Somayaji were present.
