Kasargod, Sep 15: “There should be communication between languages. There should be no attempts to divide the society and skew history in the name of language,” said Karnataka minister of health and social welfare K R Ramesh Kumar.
He was speaking after inaugurating 13th Janapada and Onam festival programme held by Karnataka Janapada Parishat, Kerala border unit, Subbayyakatte Kannada Sangha, Madikeri Kodava Sahitya Academy and Karnataka Byari Academy held at Kudalamerkala aided junior primary school on Thursday, September 15.
Karnataka Janapada Parishat Kerala border unit president Keshava Prasad Nanithilu presided over the programme.
Kasargod MP P Karunakaran, Zilla panchayat member Harshad Varkady, block panchayat president A K M Ashraf, Dakshina Kannada district Karnataka Sahitya Parishat president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Paivalike grama panchayat president Bharathi J Shetty, Abdul Rehman Subbayyakatte, Dr Anantha Kamath, social worker Seetharama Shetty, B K Khader Haji, Hanif Chevar, Ramakrishna Bhandary, Basheer B A and others were present.
