Mangaluru: NITK student commits suicide

Mangaluru, Sep 9: A student of National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Suratkal near here, committed suicide on the night of Wednesday September 7.

The victim has been identified as Parmula Veeranjaneyulu (21) from Telangana. He was a third semester postgraduate (M Tech) student. He hanged himself from the iron pipe at room No 19 in block 5 of NITK hostel complex on Wednesday night, by using a nylon rope.

Veeranjaneyulu was a brilliant student. A death note found from the pocket of his trousers, mentions in English and Telugu that he was solely responsible for the decision to commit suicide. He also said that he has been securing high marks since young age as per the aspirations of his parents and relatives but he found it impossible to meet their wishes anymore. Frustrated by this realization, he said he decided to kill himself.

Suratkal police got the postmortem of the body done before handing over mortal remains to parents of the student.

    So sad.why did the fellow not tell his parents about his dis interest personally instead of ending his life?He could do thins what he interests and enjoy life.or parents didnt accept it?Tragic enough.so please parents !(other)please dont force your children to be what you want but encourage them to be what they want.Ask or see what they tend to.Many times they are not sure ,but you know their interest.Everyone cant be a doctor or engineer.There are lot of other Job opportunity in world.Heartfelt sympathys to the Family.May his Soul rest in peace.with his Action he made parents to suffer their life Long .
