The incident happened around 1.15 am when one of the residents of the house was half asleep; he was awakened by some movement inside his room. It was then that he happened to see a stranger, who went on to put a ring and mobile phone kept on the table into his pocket. It then dawned on Varun that the strange person was a thief and which made him more vigilant.
When the thief turned around to observe Varun, the latter pretended to be asleep and kept his eyes shut, however the thief did sense that Varun was merely pretending to sleep so he tried to flee the crime scene.
