Bengaluru: Archbishop celebrates his patron feast day

Bengaluru, Aug 20: St Bernard a monk with burning zeal for Christ and for the word of God and a great lover of mother Mary is the patron of Archbishop Bernard Moras.

On Saturday, 20th August 2016, Archbishop celebrated his patron feast. He began his celebration with a thanks giving Eucharist at Clergy home, a home for retired and senior priests of archdiocese and archdiocese curia were present for the celebration and concelebrated in the Mass, Blind orphan children Satya Seva sisters convent wished archbishop by singing on Psalms.

At noon archbishop had celebration with the children of newly included commission for differently abled at paalana bhavana, archdiocese pastoral center. 

On Feast day evening a grand thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration was organized at St.Francis Xavier’s cathedral by secretary to archbishop and Rev Fr A S Anthony Swamy, Chancellor and Parish Priest of SFX for all the Archdiocesan Priests, Religious and faithful of the Archdioceses. Both the Vicar Generals of Archdiocese Msgr.Jayanathan and Msgr.C Francis were present and concelebrated the mass.

At the conclusion of the mass Rev.Sr.Maria Goretti.psdp, superior of little sisters of poor, felicitated Archbishop on behalf of Whole archdiocese, in her felicitation speech she exemplified archdiocese through Archbishop’s shepherding for the flock of archdiocese with his selfless dedicated tiresome service.

Priests and religious working in Archdioceses were present in large number for the celebration along with the faithful of the Archdiocese.
