Kundapur, Aug 5: The protests by the school development committee and parents condemning the transfer of the additional teacher from Siddapur government higher primary school even though there are 220 students in the school, has reached the third day. The parents have alleged that the behavior of the officials looks like they are playing a cheating game.
While some protesters were saying that their names have not appeared in the media though they were the ones who were protesting, the officials looked to be under pressure as they were hesitating to answer questions from the reporters. The parents said that the officials were acting as though they are not concerned.
The students, parents and SDMC held a symbolic protest on the first day. They protested in front of the office of the Kundapur education officer on the second day. The protests on the third day have turned intense.
The students, parents and SDMC locked the school and went on a protest march to Siddapur market from the school, shouting slogans against the officials and urging for the arrival of the district deputy director of public instruction to the venue. As the teachers said that they have already informed about the protests to the officer, the protesters asked them to give the telephone number of the officer. The teachers got nervous for it.
