Mangaluru: LCS holds ‘Twin Role Competition’

Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 2: The students of Lourdes Central School (LCS) through their determination and creativity had put up a mesmerizing Twin Role Act on July 29. The Twin Role was organized by the English Department for the students of class 6-10 as a tool for FA-2.

The competition was judged by two prominent personalities Aarthi Shetty and Thrupthi Malli who happen to be the parents of our students.

The aims of the Twin Role were to give students an opportunity to use English in a creative and motivating way and to encourage students to develop their communication skill, acting and power of language and literature.

The prelims were held on July 22 and 23 as students acted the Twin Role from Shakespeare’s plays (Class X), Charles Dickens (Class IX), Ruskin Bond (Class VIII), Jataka tales, Panchathantra Tales, stories of Akbar and Birbal, Krishnadevaraya and Tenali Rama (Class VI and VII).

Principal, Fr Robert D’souza motivated the students and wished them luck.

The judges appreciated the participants and congratulated the winners. They advised students on dos and don’ts.

The Twin Role was indeed a great learning experience. The programme was organized by Dilla Colaco and Lavina Castelino.
