Puttur, Aug 2: "K P Poornachandra Tejaswi a popular poet has elaborated the concept of rural life and the problems of city life in a very artistic way," said Karunakar Balkur, HOD of Kannada department, Expert PU College, in the city.
A social analysis of the characters of Tejaswi’s short story, 'Krishna Gowdana Aane' was organized by the Kannada Association of St Philomena’s PU College, Puttur.
In this story, man creates problems, but blames it on the elephant. Man is spoiling the social environment through his selfish deeds. The innocent elephant is punished for the wrongs committed by man. The corruption in our social system and the absence of co-ordination among the various departments leads to the unfortunate condition of the elephant who finally disappears.
The programme was presided over by Fr Vijay Lobo, principal, St Philomina’s PU College, Puttur. Kannada association director, Sumana Prashanth was also present. Ayshath Shameema welcomed the gathering, Sagar gave the vote of thanks and Vinola Amita Lobo conducted the programme very graciously.
