Mangaluru: Journalists pay tribute to late Agnel Rodrigues

Mangaluru, Jun 28: Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists Association and Mangaluru Press Club on Tuesday June 28, paid tribute to late journalist, cine actor and social worker Agnel Rodrigues who passed away on Sunday, June 26. The condolence meet was held at Mangalore Press Club.

In his condolence message, journalist Anand Shetty said, “Agnel's good personality and talking style could easily attract people. Agnel was a kind hearted person and had good contact with people. He mingled with everyone. His death is a loss to journalist fraternity.”

Mangaluru Press Club president Anil Ronald Fernandis said, “People from all sections of society have attended the funeral and mourned the death of Agnel. It shows that he was loved by all. He will be missed by his friends and well wishers. Agnel helped people whenever he was approached. Besides being a journalist, he was also into martial arts and active member in various organizations. He had also special love for animals.”

Film producer Prakash Pandeshwar said, “His death is painful for all. We will miss him dearly.”

All journalists who gathered during the occasion offered floral tribute to the portrait of departed journalist. 

DKWJA president Jaganath Shetty Bala, Angnel's son Sanjay, Shrinivas Indaje and others were present.
