He urged the Indian Railway authorities to begin Mangalore- Bangalore train services at the earliest and resume ‘Janshatabdhi express to Mumbai which was discontinued in the recent past, to form a separate division for Mangalore in South Western Railway (SWR) with headquarter in Mysore, to extend train services till Bhatkal and to build over-bridge at Bajal- Padil railway crossing.
A meeting will be held on Thursday November1 at Revenue Building, located in the premises of Deputy Commissioner’s office, to discuss the strategy to carry out the non-violent strike ahead. All the alike and serious minded citizens are requested to attend the meeting, he informed.
The delay in beginning Mangalore- Bangalore train services would not be justified, since it can contribute healthy profit of about Rs 13.5 crore to the annual income of the Indian Railways, he backed his decision.
