Udupi, Oct 30: The city sleuths have undertaken swift operation in nabbing the alleged miscreants who assaulted Bajrang Dal convener Padebettu Prakash Shetty and activist Lokesh, at Padubidri on Sunday October 28 night. The police have already interrogated several people in this regard.
Mangalore ASP, Lokesh Kumar, offered assurance of arresting the miscreants at the earliest. He pleaded the general public not to be driven by emotions on the alleged act, instead to maintain peace.
The police team lead by District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) and circle inspector are actively involved in nabbing the miscreants, related to this crime, said ASP Lokesh Kumar to www.daijiworld.com.
Meanwhile the local units of VHP and other fundamental outfits have set the deadline of Tuesday, to nab the assaulters. They staged protest by blocking the National Highway (NH) 17 at Padubidri, to press for their demands.
