Mangalore, Oct 29: Karnataka governor Rameshwar Thakur should not allow the BJP-JD (S) to form government in the state again. Instead, he should recommend the parliament to impose president’s rule in the state, urged S Bangarappa, Samajavadi party state president and former chief minister of the state.
Speaking at a press conference organized at Circuit House on Monday October 29, he said that the political situation in the state has reached its lowest ebb ever. The JD (S) and BJP leaders have completely forgotten what is meant by morality. On the other hand, even the Congress is trying to capitalize on the existing situation. Hence, it is advisable to dissolve the assembly at the earliest, he demanded.
The JD (S) and BJP leaders fought like anything in the open forum. Even they played all the worst games with the voters. The state is witnessing the politics of the worst kind for the first time in its history, Bangarappa opined.
“We have kept ourselves away from this dirty politics. But the state-wide campaigning will be done by using helicopter, to strengthen Samajavadi party,”
While commenting on national politics, he informed that there existed many differences between the Left parties and Congress on Indo-American nuke deal. Hence, it is likely that the Left parties would withdraw their support to UPA-led union government. If it so happens, it will lead to serious political developments in the centre, he asserted.
Samajavadi party leaders S P Chengappa, Mohan, Ashok Suvarna and others were present at the press meet.
