Rio de Janeiro, May 9 (IANS): Bayern Munich target Lucas Lima could have played his last match for Brazil's Santos, the midfielder's agent has said.
The 25-year-old helped Santos to a 1-0 victory over Audax on Sunday, a result that gave the club their 22nd Sao Paulo state title, reports Xinhua.
Agent Wagner Ribeiro said the Brazil international felt the time was right to leave.
"We've spoken with Santos," Ribeiro said on Sunday. "Santos don't want him to leave because they only have a small percentage of his economic rights and don't stand to make as much. But he is a player who should be at one of the top clubs in Europe."
Lima, who was forced off the pitch during Sunday's match with an ankle injury, has reportedly declined offers from Napoli, Porto and China Hebei Fortune in recent months.
But according to the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper the Brazil international is in talks with Bayern Munich, who sent a scout to watch him play and train last week.
Lima has been capped eight times for Brazil after making his debut in the Brazil's 1-0 win over Costa Rica in September.
