Mumbai, Sep 12: Monti Fest was celebrated at Church Of Our Lady Of The Rosary, Goregaon West, which was organized by Konkan Seva Mandal.

Fr Walter Pinto and Fr Epy offered the solemn mass and blessed the corns. Later flowers were offered to Mother Mary.

In his sermon Fr Walter Pinto briefed the importance of the "Novem Jevonn". On this day there should not be any non-vegetarian dish cooked in the house when this "Novem" is brought inside the house, he added.

Then the statue was taken in a procession, singing hymns to Mother Mary, to the venue of the cultural programme.

Jyothi and group, Jennifer and group, Victor and group, Velita, Sanora, Lester and others entertained the gathering with their cultural programmes. A dance Kokorekoko" presented by children received a well deserved applause.
