Doha, Oct 16: On October 4, the Indian Sports Center, Apex body of Embassy of India Doha Qatar, hosted Ladies Box Cricket Tournament at Hamilton International School, the second game of the Winter Khel Mahotsav 24 series. MCC Qatar proudly participated with two teams: MCC-1 and MCC-2.
The tournament featured six teams divided into two groups, with each team playing three matches to qualify for the semifinals. MCC-2 competed against Fearless Fighters, while MCC-1 competed against Tulukoota Qatar in the semifinals. Both MCC teams advanced, setting up an exciting final match between them.
The tournament showcased outstanding performances, with MCC-1 securing the championship title and MCC-2 finishing as runners-up. Individual accolades went to Maria Jacob, named Best Bowler, and Shereen Nawab Khan, honoured as Best Batsman, reflecting the high level of talent and commitment displayed by the players.
The passionate supporters were thanked whose unwavering enthusiasm created an electrifying atmosphere that inspired the players throughout the competition.
The Indian Sports Center was also thanked for organizing the remarkable event, which fostered both competitive spirit and community engagement.
