St. Petersburg, Nov 7 (IANS): Zenit St. Petersburg's Brazilian striker Hulk has been voted Champions League Player of the Week for the second time in a row, European football's governing body UEFA's official site has confirmed.
Hulk claimed 32 percent of the votes, beating out fellow Brazilian and Barcelona playmaker Neymar, who won 23 percent of the popular votes cast on Friday, reports Xinhua.
Hulk played an instrumental role in both Zenit goals and produced another strong all-round performance as the defending Russian Premier League champions qualified for the knockout rounds of the Champions League with a 2-0 away win over French side Lyon on Wednesday evening.
With four win from four matches, Zenit (12 points) are now well placed to qualify top of Group H ahead of Valencia (6), Gent (4) and Lyon (1).
