Hyderabad, Sep 25 (IANS): Filmmaker Umesh Shirupalli's upcoming multilingual horror film "Fear the Fear", which will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Hindi, will feature a bevy of American Broadway and television actors.
"It will be for the first time that a film with same story will be shot for Indian as well as international audiences. Instead of making different versions of the film, we plan to shoot simultaneously with different actors to suit the language sensibilities," Umesh, who will be directing and producing the film, told IANS.
Actors Jonas Barranca, Carolyn Cutillo, Sandra Bates, Tommy Walker and Laura Pellogio constitute the international cast.
"The American actors are already on their way to India. We start shooting from Sunday in Ramoji Film City. While most of the film will be shot in Ramoji studio, we also plan to shoot some important sequences in Ooty," he said.
Known for his last Telugu outing "Cricket, Girls & Beer", Umesh is currently finalising the cast for film's Telugu and Hindi version.
"We should be finalising the Telugu cast today (Friday). Actors such as Adivi Sesh, Nandoo and Harshvardhan Rane are already in talks. The final cast will be used for Telugu and Hindi versions," he said, and added the Telugu version is tentatively titled "Nilgiri Hills".
Talking more about the film, he said: "It will be a hardcore horror film with a unique concept. There's a lot of potential for visual effects and we're already in talks with companies like Firefly, who worked on 'Baahubali', to collaborate with us."
Umesh also plans to send the English version of the film to film festivals to create maximum buzz before its release in theatres.
"We plan to wrap up the shoot by October 25. If everything goes as planned, we plan to release it in March or April next year," he said.
The film will have music and background score by Tirthankar Das, while Pravin Pudi will take care of the editing department.
