Mumbai, Aug 31(Mid-day): Vidya Balan is likely to return to television after almost two decades with a talk show

Bollywood faces are steadily foraying into the small screen and Vidya Balan is rumoured to be keen to add her name to this list. The actress, who began her showbiz career with the popular 1995 TV show, 'Hum Paanch', is apparently set to host a talk show on tube.

Says a source, "An international production house had approached Vidya a couple of months ago to host a Ted Talk show. She liked the concept and discussed several ideas with the makers to make the show successful. They are still figuring out a list of celebrated figures from different fields who would be interested in being featured on the show."

The production house is now trying to crack a deal with a television channel to launch the talk show. "They are working on the logistics now. The makers want the deal to be finalised at the earliest so that the show can be aired early next year," says the source. While Vidya did not reply to our query, her spokesperson refrained from commenting.
