Los Angeles, Aug 29 (IANS): Actor Steve Carell has replaced Bruce Willis in director Woody Allen's yet untitled project.
Sources close to Allen have confirmed that Willis had exited the project but cited no reason for it, reports deadline.com.
There was a rumour that he was let go, but many also said the movie had a conflicting schedule with his upcoming commitment on Broadway adaptation of "Misery".
It would have been Willis's first time working with Allen.
Carell has joined the star-studded cast including Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg and Corey Stoll.
The "Get Smart" actor has worked with Allen before in "Melinda and Melinda".
For now, Allen's movie has been kept under wraps. Its Shooting will continue in both New York and here.
While no premiere date has been announced so far, the movie is expected to be released next year.
