Sullia: Murder mystery solved - Man killed by wife and her paramour

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (RJP)

Sullia, Jul 30: Police have managed to solve a murder mystery within days. A case has been registered against 5 persons including the wife of the murdered man and her lover.

Jayananda Gowda (53) from Kakyana in Sullia taluk is the person who was murdered. His wife Leela, her paramour Dhananjay and accomplices, Chandrakanth, Dinesh and Chinthan are the accused in the case.

Jayananda Gowda who went to see an astrologer on July 14 did not come back home. His wife Leela lodged a missing complaint at Subramanya police station. Later Jayananda’s bike was found at Nettar, and Jayananda’s mobile was found to be switched off. The search for Jayananda proved futile.

Sullia circle inspector took Dhananjay as suspect and interrogated him. He spilled the beans in the custody. Later Chandrakanth, Dinesh and Chinthan were also interrogated which revealed the whole murder episode.

As per the details available, Dhananjay was in love with Leela and had an illicit relationship with her. Jayananda who had knowledge of this, zobjecting to the same. But the affair did not stop.

On May 17, Dhananjay tried to finish off Jayananda after hitting his bike with a jeep. He wanted to project the murder as an accident. But Jayananda survived the accident. He only knew that an unknown jeep hit him without ever knowing that it was a murder attempt. He did not even complain to the police regarding the issue.

Jayananda became depressed after the incident. He did not go out much. Even if he did, he did not use his bike. Hence the accused did not get any opportunity to murder him. But his wife Leela somehow convinced him to go to an astrologer to sort out his depression. Jayananda agreed to go on July 14. Leela immediately phoned Dhananjay who was waiting for the opportunity.

Dhananjay and his accomplices stopped Jayananda’s bike on the way and took him in their car. Then they allegedly killed him by strangulating him with a rope. They threw his body at Pataje Meepala forest and took his bike away and abandoned it at a place in Nettar.

The body of the deceased was found at Pataje Meepala forest on Wednesday July 29 in a decomposed state.

Sullia police inspector Satish Kumar is investigating the matter with the guidance from Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police Dr Sharanappa.

Sometime people have everything but so greedy, May wealth, position, entertainment, joy happiness, and worst thing is lust. People can do anything for that, all have weakness, but because of these things we are cruel and ready to murder also.
I think lady was not young, but she is cruel, why she not divorced husband and moved, instead of killing him, now she will pay the price.
Even he knew about her illicit relation and before someone try to attack him, why he not complained police. Even things not going well couldn't solve than he could divorce her and had right for that. Could avoided death.
long t distance if couple staying far away and they don’t have important things in life communication, love, fellowship each other sometime things go wrong also, wealth, or anything cannot fix what lost in relationship, so people has to think. I don’t know what here.
Any married person if they love each other than they don’t want anyone else in their spouse life in their place rather than them. And they will not accept it. After life is hanging on rope, in storm, depression….

Just imagine if this innocent victim would have died earlier in the intentional jeep crash, it would have been passed off as an accident and the lady would be enjoying her life with her paramor!!

WONDER HOW MANY MURDERS TAKE PLACE BY THIS TACTIC OF SUPARI KILLERS INTENTIONALLY CRASHING THE VEHICLE INTO THE VICTIM, AND EASILY PASSING OF THE COLD BLOODED MURDER AS AN ACCIDENT!! Jai Hind!!

The regular 'female' commentators wise comments are strangely missing!!

Females have become as bold as men today which is evident from this and so many other such incidents taking place, but when a man is involved he is condemned and humiliated like anything!!

Why the word love is used in this incident. It is extra marital affair or illicit sex relation with another man. She is a wicked woman. Betrayed her husband and killed him. Should we blame this incident as human hormones effect? (question for Rita, Germany)

@Flavian Mangalore, here is my answer.Sure without excess harmons it doesn't function. But the question is by whom? Here the woman had gone out of the way ,may be she didnt get at home what she wanted?and gone too far to kill her husband which is not normal. Here the fault lies exclusively by her .Now she has to pay for it.Really not believable.Men who oblige to such criminal acts are not in their normal sense only for a illicit relationship .At that Age Leelamma has really played the game of leela.
