Mangaluru, Jul 23: Thieves have been innovative these days as they are well aware that old tactics do not work. But innocent people can still become victims of old tactics. A person named Abdul Aziz lost Rs 8.5 lac in such a case.
As per details, Abdul Aziz had gone to Hampanakatta in city with his wife. He parked his car and sent his wife to the bank. While he was waiting, two persons came to him and said that his money was lying behind the car. Abdul Aziz got down from his seat and went behind his car. One of the two persons accompanied him.
Using this opportunity, another person pulled out the bag from inside the car and ran away. The other too joined him instantly. The laptop stolen contained Rs 8. 5 lacs, it is claimed.
Abdul Aziz has lodged a complaint at Bunder police station regarding the theft. Police have begun the investigations. The incident happened on Tuesday, July 21 near Syndicate bank at Hampanakatta.
