Mumbai, July 8 (IANS): They have their unique dancing styles, but when Salman Khan and Mithun Chakraborty took to the "Dance India Dance 5" stage to match steps, it turned out to be a moment to remember.
The "Dabangg" star, who is busy promoting his film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" these days, made an appearance at the grand premiere of dance reality show "Dance India Dance 5", where Mithun, Bollywood's original disco dancer, is the 'Grand Master'.
The 49-year-old couldn't help but laud the contestants of the show saying that he learned a lot from them. He was ecstatic about the performances on the Zee TV show and admired the dancing capabilities and confidence of the contestants.
"Every act was so immaculate at least for me as I couldn’t make out a single error. No nervousness on any of the faces, just confidence and perfection. These dancers are true performers with original, individual styles, I’ve learned a lot from them today. DID rocks, the talent rocks,” Salman said in a statement.
After the selection of the top 15 contestants, the show will have its grand premiere on Saturday.
"Dance India Dance 5" will be judged by dancers Gaiti Siddiqui, Mudassar Khan and Punit J Pathak.
Meanwhile, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is slated to release on July 17.

Varun Dhawan's special performance on 'Dance ' premiere
After showcasing his power-packed dancing skills in Remo D'Souza's “ABCD 2”, actor Varun Dhawan will give a special performance in the premiere episode of the choreographer-filmmaker's upcoming dance reality show “Dance ”.
The show, which will be aired on Star Plus, will see dancers Shakti Mohan, Dharmesh Yelande and Sumeet Nagdev playing mentor to the contestants. Remo will play the ‘maha judge’.
According to a source, Varun, who looks up to Remo owing to their dance connect, agreed on his request to appear as a special guest on “Dance ”. The actor will be seen making an appearance along with Remo and the mentors to kickstart the maiden season of the show.
“Not only this, Varun will also be doing a special performance on some of Remo’s songs. Remo was really keen on having Varun and since they’ve just delivered a hit, it was really sweet of Varun to agree to come on the show," the source said in a statement.
“Dance ”, slated to start in July end, will witness solo, couple and group performances choreographed by the three mentors for their respective teams.

Karan Tacker's yoga connection
Actor Karan Tacker, who is currently hosting singing reality show “The Voice India”, is an ardent follower of yoga.
Apart from following a strict regime in the gym, Karan practices yoga on a daily basis.
“I believe that even simple breathing techniques, if done properly, have tremendous advantages. And given the current age of a stressful and hectic life, it has become all the more important to follow yoga even if it means doing it for just 10 minutes in a day,” Karan, who has previously appeared in shows like “Love Ne Mila Di Jodi” and “Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai”, said in a statement.
Karan also likes to share his yoga knowledge on “The Voice India” set. He helps the contestants in overcoming their anxiety and nervousness before a performance by teaching them breathing techniques that can be done on the spot.
“The Voice India”, Indian version of the internationally acclaimed reality format “The Voice”, is aired on &TV. Bollywood singers Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Mika Singh and musician Himesh Reshammiya are seen as the four coaches on the show.
