Chennai, June 17 (IANS): Filmmaker N. Lingusamy, who is going through a financial crisis, says he's ready to sell anything to get his upcoming Tamil production venture "Rajini Murugan" released.
"These last few months have been very tough for me. Both financially and mentally, it has been a struggle but I haven't given up. I'm ready to sell anything to get our next film 'Rajini Murugan' out on time," Lingusamy told reporters.
He was speaking at the audio launch of "Rajini Murugan", which features Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthi Suresh in the lead.
"I need to thank my team for standing by me in this difficult phase of my career. I look at this as a new beginning. The first half of my career is over, this is the second half," he said.
Reportedly, Lingusamy owes lot of money to people in the industry. His debtors plan to stall of release of "Rajini Murugan" until dues are settled.
For the title "Rajini Murugan", Lingusamy sought the permission of superstar Rajinikanth, who immediately gave his nod with objection.
He also said that his next Tamil directorial "Sandakozhi 2" will go on floors soon.
"The pre-production work has already started. Actor Vishal and I team up again for the sequel to aSandakozhi'. Imman will compose the tunes, while Rajkiran and Soori will essay important roles," he said.
Lingusamy is yet to finalise the heroine for the project.
