Mangaluru, Jun 15: The Dengue death toll has reached 3 in Kasargod district with a person dying on Sunday, June 14.
Mohan (28) from Kadaga Nechipadpu is the person deceased. Two persons in Badiyadka and Kanhangad had died recently because of dengue.
70 people have been affected with dengue in Kasargod district. The shortage of drugs and doctors have also been reported here.
Other costal districts
Though health officials are not ready to admit that dengue has invaded the region once again, several cases have been reported in the recent days.
23 persons have been affected with dengue in Puttur taluk. One person named Geetha Nayka (48) had died recently.
38 cases have been reported in Sullia.
12 cases have been reported from Bantwal.
Kinnigoli area has also reported the arrival of Dengue.
7 cases have been recorded in Udupi district in the month of May.
In short, the fear of dengue especially during the onset of monsoon has sent fear signals in the coastal districts.
