Udupi, Jun 10 : ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ type of case has taken place in Manipal. Manipal University has complained to the police regarding a cheating happened in an online entrance test conducted by it.
As per the complaint, the person who wrote the online entrance test and the person who appeared for counselling g are different. This was discovered later by comparing biometric records and photos.
Amshul Grover from Kurukshetra, Haryana had written an online entrance test under group 14 from the university on February 19 this year. His counselling was done on March 10 and he chose the MD seat.
But when the university was routinely checking and comparing biometric records and photos, it found out that the person who got the provisional registration on May 30 and the person who appeared for counselling on March 10 were different.
When this finding prompted the university to investigate further, it conclusively learned that the person who wrote the entrance test and the person who came for counselling were two different identities altogether. The university realised that it was a cheating case.
Accordingly the university lodged a complaint at Manipal under Karnataka education act.
Now the police will have to look for ‘Two ‘Amshul Grovers, one real and the fake one.
