Chennai, May 25 (IANS): Young composer Kuralarasan, brother of actor Silambarasan aka Simbu, is not responsible for the delay in release of upcoming Tamil romantic comedy "Idhu Namma Aalu", a source said.
Simbu plays the lead in the movie and is paired with Nayantara.
"Kuralarasan should not be held responsible for the delay in release of 'Idhu Namma Aalu'. Rumours have been spread that the film's release was delayed because he couldn't complete the tunes on time. It's untrue because he has taken time to compose the best tunes for the film," a source close to actor Simbu told IANS.
Directed by Pandiraj, the film is produced by Simbu's actor father T. Rajendar.
The source also clarified that there's no misunderstanding between Pandiraj and producer Rajendar.
"Rajendar is working tirelessly to zero in on the release of Simbu's much-delayed film 'Vaalu'. As soon its date is announced, he will start work on the final portion of 'Idhu Namma Aalu'. Contrary to the rumours, Pandiraj is ready to shoot whenever he's asked to by Rajendar," the source added.
"The audio of 'Idhu Namma Aalu' will be unveiled with much fanfare post the release of 'Vaalu', which will hit the screens very soon," the source said.
It's been over two years since Simbu had a release. His last release in a lead role was 2012 Tamil film "Poda Podi".
Meanwhile, Simbu has started shooting for a yet-untitled Tamil project with filmmaker Selvaraghavan.
