Mangaluru, May 10: Visa frauds are very common these days. But the victims hardly manage to expose the agencies involved in visa frauds. Exposing them is very difficult to achieve, unless the aggrieved party takes it as a challenge.
Anil Kumar (26) from Talapady who is a victim of a visa fraud has managed to expose the agency which had tried to cheat him. The name of the agency is Al-Naaz travel agency operating from Manasa Towers in city.
As per Anil Kumar’s statement, he was sent to Maldives by Al-NaazAl-Naaz agency on April 28 for which he had paid Rs 1,80,000. He was told that the job was that of an accountant, but he was given the work of watchman.
After finding out about the cheating, Anil Kumar remained in Maldives with great difficulty and returned to India after five days.
Back in hometown, Anil Kumar took the help of the media and friends to put pressure on the agency. The agency was not ready to accept its mistake in the initial stage.
Anil Kumar had demanded the whole amount he had paid to the agency, but he insisted Rs 70,000 to be returned immediately as it was taken as insurance.
Now the agency has agreed to make the payment at the soonest.
