Mangaluru, Apr 30: The thieves who were said to be involved in cattle theft at Masthikatte and utensils theft at Durgaparameshwari temple in Kemplaje of Moodbidri in separate cases, were taken to custody for interrogation by Moodbidri police on Wednesday, April 29 on the basis of body warrant.

Some months back Mohammed Muksin (20) from Nekkiladi in Uppinangadi had fled from the scene when the vehicle he was using to transport cattle overturned at Masthikatte. He was later caught by Bantwal police for the theft of areca nuts. Moodbidri police inspector Anantha Padmanabha who learned about the arrest of Muksin, secured his body warrant from the court and has now taken him into custody for further investigations. On Thursday the accused will be presented to court.
Moodu Nagaraj (40) from Bhadravathi was involved in the theft of utensils from Durgaparameshwari temple in Kemplaje. Later he was arrested by Kakla police station and was in jail. The Moodbidri police who obtained body warrant on him have now received his custody for further investigations. He will also be produced in court on Thursday.
